Ingredients
8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (or preferred chocolate)
1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional coatings: cocoa powder, sprinkles, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, melted white chocolate
Instructions
1. Beat softened cream cheese in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
2. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
3. Melt chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth.
4. Combine melted chocolate with the cream cheese mixture and mix well until thick and uniform.
5. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 1–2 hours until firm.
6. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into smooth balls.
7. Coat truffles in your choice of cocoa powder, sprinkles, nuts, or coconut.
8. Place truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use good quality chocolate for best flavor.
Chill your hands before rolling to prevent melting.
Add flavor extracts, liqueurs, or crushed cookies for variations.
Store in the fridge and serve slightly chilled.
